Welcome to The Ridges

Join the Blue Ribbon Online Free Speech Campaign
This page is named for my home town, Oak Ridge, Tennessee
— look at Nightstar's nice info page about OR and check out the Tennessee Chronicle

Rome was built on seven hills, and Oak Ridge was built on four mountain ridges, from Black Oak Ridge (its namesake) running east to Haw Ridge. West of the city lie Walden and Pine Ridges, who, though outside the city proper, shape its nature, its weather, and its outlook. This site is built on that pattern, with each ridge having its own topic, and with Gaps and Valleys and byroads to take you in other directions.

And we will run the ridges of our green land, Tennessee,
and we will hide for forty years if that's what meant to be, meant to be
